Football Totals: Six of the 10 Most-Backed Lines Won | The Betcast Ledger 14

Football Totals: Six of the 10 Most-Backed Lines Won | The Betcast Ledger 14

•

Episode description

This week, I dig into the NFL and college football totals settled September 21-27, 2026. Six of the 10 exact totals backed by the most distinct podcasts won. NFL podcast-attributed game totals went 93-63-1, and college football totals went 74-51-1.

Before the report, I walk through how I use podcast clusters as a starting point for research, including a White Sox moneyline example at +130, and check in on The Count. I also talk about where I want to take Betcast so you can research the data in your own workflow.

Shout-outs to the report’s tracked 2026 totals leaders, Tonys Picks for NFL and Sports Gambling Podcast Network for college football, plus the six-show weekly ranking: Sports Gambling Podcast Network, The Feinline, BettingPros Podcast, Tonys Picks, Print Factory | Run Pure Sports, and Bets Utopia LIVE.

These are descriptive results from different lines, odds, and stakes. One week does not establish that podcast support predicts wins or that these groups were profitable. The research example is my experience, not a betting recommendation. Future research interfaces discussed in the episode are plans, not features available today.

Check out the report and let me know what you think.

Welcome to the Betcast ledger. If we're back again another week. Another episode and of course, most importantly Another report.

0:22

Right from the depths of the Betcast fault, all this beautiful data that we're tracking Then, that's what we do. Here, we track podcast picks. As many as we can across as many sports, that's That's it?

0:39

That's the mission statement right there. Acting as many picks across as many sports as possible, validating them and then bringing that data to you. And that's what we do here.

0:56

And most importantly, we need that data to make great decisions. We need that data to help us identify a pick, we need that data to help us decide if we want to actually make a wager place a bet. So today's report It's a good one.

1:20

We dig into the totals, because the totals perform pretty Pretty well, so this week's report, we're going to dive into the NFL totals. Last the last report we kind of looked at All the different markets and try to make sense of what we saw this week, we're going to dive straight into the totals and kind of look at what the data is telling us as far as where the podcasts are clustering and whether they did well or whether they did not But before we get started, because You know, II tend to to ramble whatever you want to call it, because I love.

2:05

I love hanging out here. I just love chit, chatting, I love talking and just expressing myself, you know, and I look up. And a lot of time has gone by, so I'm gonna try to, I'm gonna try to make this quick because I actually have Like an obligation?

2:25

That's hanging over my head at this moment that I have to do that. I need to do. So I was actually going to compress my ability To go for an hour today.

2:39

So I'm gonna do my best, and let's see how this goes. Let's see if a 30 minute or a 25 minute, so Is what you is what the what the fans want? They like me going for an hour, an hour and a 1/2 45 minutes.

2:56

Just talking about things, not necessarily sports gambling. A lot about the application, how we're building it. How I'm using the product, how I'm using the data But most importantly.

3:13

It's about trying to bring value To all the people within the sports gambling podcast ecosystem. So I'm starting, I'm starting to nail down exactly. What this system?

3:33

It's 4, what this system Can B? And I want to get into that More and more as time continues, but I have found the validated data to be quite Important. In terms of pick research, and that is sort of where I think Betcast will Feel the role into the research Sports gambling, so sports research to help you make a decision.

4:14

And a prom example of this is recently I was using the scan Okay, a lot of this isn't available on the app, so I'm trying to bring how I'm using it internally as a sort of a user interface that Anyone who subscribes can use But I have access to the data, I'm right on top of the data. That means I can have an agent. Sort of peek into the data.

4:45

And give me the details that I actually want. And I've created this The skill they call it in AI, if you're into agent coding, you know about a skill. So I created a skill called Betcast, scan, and what it does, it just looks over everything it looks over all the data, and it looks for clusters.

5:09

Not just clusters of podcast support for a particular event or for particular bet, but it also looks at the opposite side. So if we have a cluster of 10 12 15 podcasts, I support one pic, but then we also have a cluster that's Supporting the other side, then That doesn't rise itself as a candidate, so what it does is the candidate's looking for betting candidates based off our internal data. And what is useful about the internal data?

5:43

Well, it can help it's helping me. It can help Sports researchers and sports gamblers. To add to the equation for for the probability that something will or will not happen.

6:05

And that profitability. Sorry, that probability could come in many different shapes. It could come from your gut.

6:14

It can come from pure research, become from models, it become from prediction data. And/or most importantly, I'm giving a new A new sort of snicker bar It's not like that a new Snickers, bar. In order to add to your research Of trying to find I keep why I keep not profitability.

6:53

Probability probability profitability, those words are too close. Too much alike, but probability. It can be sort of the scale that tips it one way or the other to go with the gut to go with the research to go through predictive analysis system.

7:11

Whatever you got it, can be that That's what has been for me. Then, a prom example of this Was I was looking at A scan to see what candidates we have, and one of the candidates was the White Sox Vs Houston, the White Sox Vs the Houston Astros. And there was a lot of podcast support around the White Sox, moneyline.

7:45

So I started to dig deeper, because it rose up as a candidate. It had a lot of podcast support, and then I started looking at predictive analysis, and it had that the White Sox were had a like 5657, something some percentage. Chance that they would win.

8:09

Then you look at the actual value, so I got that + 130, for example. So I started having the agent do all these calculations. And then it spit back that Based off the evidence that we have.

8:26

Which includes the podcast support, which includes external research, which includes predictive analysis. And then, based off the wager that we can get, that is a sort of net positive bet. And so I'll sprinkle some action on it.

8:46

And see, I'm like, I said, I'm a big, I'm not, I'm no expert, I'm trying to learn. So I'm gearing more. Towards not just having the Betcast data, just give me picks.

9:02

And then I'm Willie, nilly just No, no, I'm having beckhams. Give me picks. Around clustering.

9:13

Round consensus, and then I'm doing the further investigation to see if there's enough evidence to tip it. Over whatever value I'm getting at whatever I'm making that bet, so if I have to spend so much money And that's below the the Probability that that will happen, that that's a bad bet. It's a bad bet, so basically if I think that there's A Let's just go with a let's say I think there's a 47% chance that Something will happen.

9:54

But if I have to pay More than 47% in order to break even Then, that becomes A nonprofitable bet, because I'm I hang a lot more for It's something that has a low probability of happening. So that's where you want to get the numbers, right? That's where Betcast can come into play.

10:19

That's where it can help, because it gives that Sort of. Extra analysis about what may or may not happen based off Podcast, clustering, now you ask yourself, well, how do we know that if a podcast clusters around something that it actually will happen? Well, that's what we're trying to figure out, that's what these reports are about.

10:42

The reports are about finding that out exactly, because I do settle these bets, so we find out if they want a loss so Uber time historically, I can determine how clusters perform. It will look at that here in the report here shortly. Before I start getting off track here.

11:07

Let's look at the count. Let's bring in the count baby. Ooh.

11:15

That's right, 46. Let's bring the 46150 lifetime picks identified 46000 the picks are coming in. picks are coming in.

11:37

That's what we want. That's the data we want, we want to analyze those picks and then bring to you bring to the forefront. What actually matters.

11:48

What actually matters? And then we want to hold the ecosystem, the podcast Sports gambling ecosystem accountable. Are you more right than wrong?

12:03

Are you more profitable than not? Does the clustering actually mean something I think it does. I think it does.

12:14

I'm going to prove that it does. I'm trying to prove that it will Because I want to be, I want to make money gambling all sports baby, yes. Why not?

12:31

If you can and you love it. And you got the tools and the resources that your disposal Why not do something That you can make money off. Teddy's also fun.

12:45

And it gives you that nice little edge of you can also lose You can also lose But that's okay. Now it's not, it's not okay, we don't like losing up in here. Anyways, back to a 46150 lifetime Extracted.

13:10

Out of that, we validated 25225, that's what the data research is on top of those validated picks, looking for consensus looking for clusters, and then trying to bring that to you. So you can observe, so you can identify candidates. And then Do your own external research?

13:38

Do your own external research-based off the candidates that we can provide, based off the data that we have. That's only here, that's only at Betcast. That's the only place you can find it at this scale across as many podcasts, as we're tracking across as many picks, as you saw 46000 All right, only here.

14:03

Before I forget, reach out, Joe at BetcastAI.com emailed me. Ask me anything, I'll give it to you. I'll help you out.

14:13

Tell me what I'm doing right. Tell me what I'm doing wrong. Give me some love.

14:19

But. Yo can't forget about X Joe from Betcast, check me out at Joe from Betcast. I post a lot of this information.

14:31

That I get a lot of insight that I get, I put it out there on the X. To follow me, check me out. Anyways.

14:42

Before we get Before we get to you off track To the count. 25225. Validated, and then this settled right here.

15:06

21159 settle picks. That's our historical Data point right there, that's how we're able to look back and say, hmm But is the clustering performing? Can I trust it?

15:23

Can I use this in my equation for Predictability for the probability that it won't, or will That's what we're going to find out. So that actually takes us to the report, let's go ahead and get into it till the report. Let's go ahead and look at the headline here NFL and college football totals led spreads, and moneylines in the wind rate 6 okay, 6 of the 10 most backed lines one That's a good sign that our clustering is working.

16:06

Okay? And before we get down to that Let's take a quick peek into while we're looking at total. Specifically, let me zoom in here.

16:17

Me. We'll start with the NFL. So Why are we looking at totals?

16:31

Well, it's simple, they outperformed I wanna look at what's performing? We don't wanna dig into money last time, I guess we could. We could dig into spreads.

16:42

But game totals. As we'll perform at a 59.6% win rate. Both NFL and college right there at the same, so that tells me something that that's a that's a sign that the totals market Is more trustworthy in regards to performance?

17:07

Again, just another source of data. So then you ask yourself So let's dig into the totals, right? Let's dig, and let's see where the consensus was.

17:24

Did that perform well? Just to set the baseline, that's why we're looking at the totals. It's because they literally outperformed everything else.

17:35

So when you look into the totals market between NFL Between college football. You can see I pulled out the top 10 Sort of most supported game totals. Cross these 2 sports.

17:59

And here's the top 10 And most importantly? As a zoom in, if you're looking at the YouTube feed, and most importantly Did they win or did they lose? And what you want to see is way more wins than losses here?

18:20

So this is the real Sort of headline catcher right here at the very top 6 of the 10 most backed lines, 16 of the 10 that means that as the clustering was happening. It fell on the winning side to. Let's take a look A second.

18:50

I don't know, look I'm getting too excited over here. But look, Baltimore, ravens would have man I could. I could talk for hours on that game as much.

19:04

I loved it. That is as a raven supporter as a ravens fan as A Lover of Lamar. Jackson.

19:14

He's the he's the one of the few people. Of notoriety, that I would want to take a picture with You know? I'm not a real starship, I don't get I've been around a few celebrities here or there but But if I saw the more Jackson hey man, come on, man.

19:32

I need to get a picture with you homie I need to get a picture because I absolutely love you. I've been following you. Since you would draft it, I support you, I want you to succeed.

19:47

I want you to get a Super Bowl and boy that was a great win. That was a great win. That was fine.

19:55

It's fun to watch. In a love when we beat the Cowboys, or something about when you don't support the Cowboys, even though I have that passion, even though I have dack, prascott, Prescott, as my quarterback on fantasy. It's just fun beating the Cowboys, but anyways, I don't want to get off a tangent.

20:16

I want to stick to What this is about? It's about the data. It's about what the data is telling us.

20:31

And it's telling us That The more support is around a particular bet. The more likelihood that it's gonna win again, 3 out of 10 Sorry, 6 out of 10. So look at this In the top 5 Which is a tie for here in terms of But let's just go to top 4, you only have one loss there.

21:03

The Bangles at Pittsburgh. There was a clustering around the under it lost And that was a surprising. I mean, there was supposed to be a lot more defense played in that game.

21:21

But. As you can see, you get more wins. Then, losses.

21:29

And that's what you want to see, that's what you care about. And that's what how we want to use this data. We want to extract out the clusters For our identification, for our notification as a watchlist.

21:50

She put them up there on a little pedestal. There's a million picks out there a minute, a million picks. I was going to say the millions a lot, but There's a lot of picks.

22:05

Out there. Across The markets that are available And what do you want to do you wanna extract? You wanna dig in all that like I said, we've tracked almost 40 almost 50000 picks.

22:24

Of course, as lifetime So when you're looking at, you know, a particular week or particular slate, or particular sport, of course, there's not going to be that many validated picks, but you see my point is that there's still going to be a lot you want to look into that and you want to pull out. What's actually important And then he wanted to determine, is there any value left still? And then you want to include your own research to then make a decision.

23:04

So as an example, you could be like, hey Um, look, there's. I don't know 4 games in the afternoon slate. Check out all the like, do a scan.

23:21

And determine. Do a scan. And determine.

23:33

Where is the where is there a cluster in a debate? Oh yeah, this game is saying that the over for Patrick mahomes. There's a lot of support for that, oh okay.

23:44

Hmm, well, there's a lot of support for this at this line, so let's do some research. You can use your bot, your agent, whatever you have at your disposal for that research, and you can include this as a part of it. Because that's where we're going with this, that's where we're headed.

24:06

Where I'm Betcast, will be A Tool, a plugin that you can just bring into your ecosystem for your research. The mcp connection. An API integration.

24:25

I'm going to be able to I want to try to Let's you interact with the data. However, you see fit a UI. We can just type in and ask That's where we're going.

24:42

We are going to be a legitimate data source for sports gamblers. Use it. Or lucid.

24:55

I want you to use it. Of course, you're gonna have to pay, it's not free. It costs But I'm even going to there's a future setup where you can use your use your own AI tokens to interact.

25:09

That's possible. But in the future we're not there yet, you know, where we are right now is just, you can log in, and you can generate a card off the validated bets and depend on the back end ranking system that exists today. Which is a little bit?

25:25

It's good, but it's not great. But you really want, is this scan that pulls out the clusters and just hands it to you on a platter. Hands it to you on a platter.

25:40

And that's what Betcast will do. But those are the top 10. You can check out the report BetcastAI.com/reports. From there.

25:48

You can check out the latest reports. And you can look, you can look and see hey, this is what's happening. This is what the data is showing, this is what I can prove this is what I can't prove here's the numbers.

26:04

As we continue on the report, I want to give AA couple shout outs to some top performing podcast. Some top performers here. Let's see here quickly.

26:20

Let me zoom in. Yes, here we go. We got Tonys Picks.

26:28

All right. They are on one to identify them because these are the totals podcasts, leaders Across all the data we have For this year's NFL, for this year's NFL. Tonys Picks.

26:51

Okay. Has given us 12 decisions. They've given us 12.

27:00

Totals picks. And their win as 75.0%. Don't ask me why I said 0.075%, that's 93 and 1.

27:14

And then on the flip side of that We have the Sports Gambling Podcast Network. Now They have given us 33 totals picks thus far. And they're at 66.7%, win rate that's 22 and 11, so I want to identify These 2 podcasts, Tonys Picks Sports Gambling Podcast Network as A Sort of.

27:46

Badge as a stamp of approval. That You're picking more winners than losers. So this will also be part of the research.

28:00

This will also be part of what you can dig into, you can say something like, hey. Can I get all of Tonys Picks for this upcoming Sunday sunday slate? Tonys Picks podcast, give me all their picks for this upcoming slate.

28:15

I want to see those and then you can make a decision. Hey, sports gambly, podcast network. Give me all your college football totals for maybe one game.

28:28

Maybe multiple games, it's up to you. You can say you can decide That's going to be the beauty But yes, we have a top 5 here, and I'm sorry, top 6. And this is just Now these are the totals rankings for This report.

29:03

And these were the totals rankings. Across what we've tracked, so as you can see here We got Sports Gambling Podcast Network. Feline with the new one, this is a new one here.

29:21

Let's check this one out, ooh, The Feinline, check it out, check him out. Shout outs to The Feinline, BettingPros Podcast, Tonys Picks Print Factory | Run Pure Sports and Bets Utopia LIVE Shout out to those All right, look, that concludes a report again.
